Terms of Trade, Returns & Shipping Policy

Welcome to Aviation Compliance NZ Limited trading as Pattershall (“Pattershall”, “we”, “our”, “us”).

These terms apply to all purchases made through our website or directly from Pattershall. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms below.

These terms work alongside your rights under New Zealand consumer law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986.

Orders

All orders are subject to acceptance and product availability.

Aviation Compliance NZ Limited T/A Pattershall reserves the right to:

  • Decline or cancel any order

  • Limit the quantity of products supplied

  • Correct pricing or product description errors

If we are unable to supply an item you ordered, we will notify you and refund any payment received.

Pricing

All prices are shown in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) unless stated otherwise.

Prices may change without notice.

GST will be applied where required under New Zealand law.

Payment

Payment is required at the time of ordering unless you have an approved trade account.

Accepted payment methods may include:

  • Credit card

  • Debit card

  • Online payment providers

  • Approved trade accounts

Orders may not be shipped until payment has been received.

Shipping & Delivery

New Zealand Orders

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on:

  • Your delivery address

  • The weight of the products

  • The courier service used

Some products may include free shipping within New Zealand where this is clearly stated.

International Orders

Orders shipped outside New Zealand will include freight charges.

Customers are responsible for any:

  • Customs duties

  • Import taxes

  • Clearance fees

  • VAT or GST charged by the destination country

These charges are determined by the destination country and are outside the control of Pattershall.

Returns & Return Authorisation

All returns must be approved before being sent back.

To request a return:

  1. Email orders@pattershall.co.nz

  2. Provide your order number

  3. Tell us the reason for the return

If the return is approved, we will issue a Return Authority (RA) number.

Returns sent without an RA number may not be accepted.

Change of Mind Returns

We may accept change-of-mind returns if:

  • The request is made within 7 days of delivery

  • The product has not been used

  • The product is unopened and in its original packaging

  • The product is in resaleable condition

Shipping costs and payment processing fees are not refundable.

A restocking fee may apply in some cases.

Non-Returnable Items

The following products cannot be returned unless they are faulty:

  • Opened oils, lubricants or fluids

  • Hazardous chemicals

  • Sealants or adhesives

  • Special order items

  • Products that have been installed or used

Faulty Products

If a product is faulty or we have supplied the wrong item, please contact us immediately.

Under New Zealand consumer law you may be entitled to:

  • A repair

  • A replacement

  • A refund

We may need to inspect returned items before confirming a claim.

Special Orders

Products ordered specifically for a customer or imported at a customer's request:

  • Cannot usually be cancelled once ordered

  • Cannot be returned unless they are faulty

Product Use & Technical Advice

Many products supplied by Pattershall are specialised products used in industrial, automotive, marine or aviation applications.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the products they purchase are suitable for their intended use.

Any technical advice provided by us is given in good faith but should not replace manufacturer instructions or professional advice.

Aviation Use Disclaimer

Some products sold by Pattershall may be used in aviation.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser and installer to ensure that any product used in an aircraft complies with the aircraft manufacturer’s specifications and aviation regulations.

Installation and approval for aviation use must be carried out by properly licensed maintenance personnel.

Product Certification & Traceability

Some products may be supplied with certification, batch numbers or traceability documentation.

Customers must check all documentation immediately after receiving the goods.

If certification or documentation appears to be missing, you must notify us as soon as possible after delivery.

Counterfeit or Suspected Unapproved Parts

Pattershall sources products from reputable manufacturers and authorised distributors.

However, we do not manufacture the products we sell. If a manufacturer later issues a recall or identifies a product as a suspected unapproved part, we will work with the manufacturer and relevant authorities to address the issue.

Where required, our liability will be limited to replacing the product or refunding the purchase price.

Hazardous Substances

Some products sold by Pattershall may be classified as hazardous substances.

Customers must ensure that these products are stored, handled and used safely and in accordance with manufacturer instructions.

Safety Data Sheets (SDS) should always be reviewed before using chemical products.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aviation Compliance NZ Limited T/A Pattershall will not be liable for indirect losses such as:

  • Business interruption

  • Loss of profits

  • Equipment failure caused by incorrect product use

Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to repair, replacement or refund of the purchase price.

Commercial Customers & Trade Accounts

Payment Terms

Invoices must be paid by the due date shown on the invoice.

Late Payment

Overdue accounts may be charged interest of up to 2.5% per month until payment is made.

Debt Recovery

Customers agree to pay any reasonable costs involved in recovering unpaid debts, including collection agency and legal costs.

Retention of Title

All goods remain the property of Aviation Compliance NZ Limited T/A Pattershall until they have been paid for in full.

Shipping Delays

Delivery times are estimates only.

Pattershall is not responsible for delays caused by couriers, customs clearance, dangerous goods shipping restrictions, or other events outside our control.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes will be handled by New Zealand courts.
