Royco® 885 is a low-volatility, diester-based synthetic instrument and bearing oil with oxidation and corrosion inhibitors, anti-foaming properties, and excellent low-temperature performance for precision aircraft systems.
Overview
Royco® 885 Synthetic Base Instrument and Bearing Oil (part number 885-1GL) is a light amber, diester-based synthetic lubricant formulated with additives for oxidation inhibition, corrosion protection, anti-foaming, and rust prevention. Designed for applications requiring minimal evaporation and reliable performance across a wide temperature range, Royco 885 is used in aircraft instruments, air cycle equipment, bearings, and precision accessories. The fluid is qualified to MIL-PRF-6085F and Boeing BMS 3-7. Due to its synthetic base, compatibility with certain paints and elastomers (such as neoprene and natural rubber) should be verified prior to use.
